About Me


I’m Sakina Issa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s complexities with clarity and confidence. My work is rooted in evidence-based practice and guided by a deep respect for each client’s unique story.

Therapy with me is both reflective and active—a space to examine patterns, explore what’s been holding you back, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. I aim to provide an environment that challenges you to grow while offering the support and insight necessary to make that growth sustainable.

My Approach


I integrate evidence-based methods that recognize the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional resilience.

I also incorporate Client-Centered principles, providing an empathetic, supportive environment that empowers you to access your own insight and strength. Techniques such as emotional regulation, guided imagery, and mindfulness further support self-awareness and personal growth.

My goal is to guide you toward lasting change, greater psychological flexibility, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

  • A 20-minute session designed to discuss your needs, address questions, and determine whether therapy is an appropriate next step.

    20 Minutes – $50

  • A 50-minute evidence-based session focused on personal growth, emotional regulation, and support through life’s challenges. Therapy provides a structured environment to explore thought patterns, behaviors, and coping strategies.

    50 Minutes – $175

  • Finding Myself Again

    I came to Sakina dismantled and chaotic, dealing with post traumatic experiences, a low self-esteem, and completely unaligned with my mind, body, spirit. I felt like I was always fighting against myself, unable to establish boundaries with myself and with people in my life, I was exhausted and felt defeated. Sakina helped me discover my self-worth, guided me to understand that I am all I need and to trust my feelings.
